Featuring ceramic rods in both coarse and fine grits, this sharpener puts a sharp edge on even the dullest knife with just a few strokes. One side features a 15° angle for Western-style knives, the other a 10° angle for Asian-style knives. The ergonomically contoured handle and unique safety grip keep fingers safely away from the blade, while the rubberized non-slip bottom keeps the sharpener firmly in place. How to Use

  • Place the sharpener on a flat surface. Hold the knife in your dominant hand and the sharpener in the other.
  • Insert the knife perpendicular to the sharpener into the Coarse stage. Using moderate pressure, pull the knife through from heel to tip. Repeat up to 20 times depending on blade dullness.
  • Move to the Fine stage. Using light pressure, pull the knife through from heel to tip. Repeat 5 to 10 times.
  • Wipe the blade clean and test sharpness by drawing it through a piece of scrap paper. If it slices cleanly without tearing, it is sharp.
  • With regular maintenance, you may only need to use the Fine stage.
