It is also ideal for skimming fat from a broth or soup, which works even better when the broth has cooled and the fat has congealed, making your home-made stock healthier and more delicious. The handle is made from acacia wood and is long enough to protect from hot liquid, while the main part is made from black matte silicone, suitable for all surfaces including non-stick finishes, and heat resistant up to 220 degrees C.
